Cody Crump rapped a two-out three-run double in the bottom of the second inning, making Bluffton pitcher Jake Garrett pay dearly in his only jam of the night, and helped Adams Central to a 3-0 victory over the Tigers in the opening round of the Adams Central Class 2A baseball sectional Wednesday night.
Adams Central (16-8) loaded the bases in the bottom of the second, getting a lead-off single from Isaac Soldner and a pair of walks to Luke Liter and Jaron Bittner. Garrett retired Tanner Butler on strikes and got Clayton Harkless to ground into a fielder’s choice that retired Soldner as he was headed for home.
