Farlow shines in sectional finals
PORTLAND – South Adams freshman Cady Farlow scored two state finals berths and set a couple of records in the process Saturday during the final round of competition in the IHSAA Jay County Girls’ Swimming Sectional.
Farlow took first in the 100-yard freestyle, winning in 55.85 seconds. Her time broke an 18-year old school record in the event, and the win scored her a spot in the IHSAA state finals this Friday night.
But Farlow wasn’t done. She went on to win the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:07.75, breaking her own school record, and taking down a one-year old sectional record in the process.
