Fuelling outduels Central’s Combs
Bellmont’s Nick Fuelling and Adams Central’s Dalton Combs locked up in a pitcher’s duel Thursday night in a varsity baseball game in Decatur, with Fuelling coming out on top as the Braves scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth en route to a 4-2 victory.
Fuelling went the distance, allowing two runs (neither earned) on two hits and two walks. He struck out nine.
Combs also pitched a complete game, allowing four runs (three earned) on six hits. He struck out four and didn’t issue a walk.
