Bellmont freshman Alexis Harvey was the only county athlete to weather the tough field of contestants at the IHSAA Northrop girls’ track regional Tuesday night in Fort Wayne, keeping her season alive in the 200-meter dash.
Harvey advanced to the state finals with a 25.69 second time in the 200, moving on by beating the state standard of 25.95. Harvey missed advancing in two events, finishing seventh in the 100-meter dash in 12.78. The state standard in that event is 12.49.
