Heritage holds off South Adams
Unable to consistently knock down free throws, and some late offensive troubles fouled up South Adams attempts to end its current losing streak, which reached four games Friday night as the Starfires lost to visiting Heritage 67-61 and fell to 0-2 in the Allen County Athletic Conference.
The Patriots (2-3, 1-0 ACAC) held the Starfiresâ€™ two leading scorers, Dustin Wanner and Scott Hoeppner, in check most of the night. Wanner was limited to a pair of free throws through the first three quarters as Heritage built a 49-42 lead, and Hoeppner did not make a field goal after halftime. Both finished with 10 points.
