Heritage holds off Starfires 40-34
South Adams sputtered offensively in the third quarter, fell behind by 21 points, and the repercussions were a fourth quarter offensive explosion that went for naught as the Starfires lost 40-34 Friday in a varsity football game that culminated a week of homecoming festivities.
The Starfires are now 2-2 and 1-1 in the Allen County Athletic Conference as they prepare to host league bully Leo this weekend. The Lions are 4-0 and coming off an impressive 34-7 victory over Bishop Luers.
