Jets cage Bruins to win season opener

Adams Central junior Kyle Baker scored three touchdowns and scrambled for three two-point-after conversions on Friday night to lead the Flying Jets to a resounding 53-14 win over Blackford in the first game of the season for both teams.
In addition, senior Braxton Wolf and junior Alex Byerly each scored two touchdowns to help seal the deal for AC.
The Jets struck early. With 8:13 remaining in the first half, Byerly grabbed a punt on the 46-yard line and ran all the way back into the end zone for the first Flying Jet touchdown of the season. Cooper Hill then successfully kicked the point after to give the Jets a 7-0 lead.
