BUTLER – Five runs in the top of the fifth inning sealed the deal for Adams Central on Tuesday evening as the Jets bested South Adams 7-2 in the semifinal round of girls softball sectional action at Eastside.
The AC squad (16-10) will take on perennial power Bishop Luers at 7 p.m. this evening in the championship tilt.
Fans were still settling into the stands when Adams Central senior Alyssa Keller unloaded a powerful double to drive in Bess Fiechter from first base to give the Jets a 1-0 jump in the top half of the first inning.
