South Adams saw its season-long winning streak brought to an end in varsity boys’ tennis Tuesday night as Norwell handed the Starfires a 5-0 defeat.
Mark Muselman was able to stretch his number two singles match out to three sets for the Starfires (now 3-1). He dropped his first set to the Knights’ Kyle Isch 2-6, but rallied to take the second in a tiebreaker 7-6 (8-6). Isch rebounded and won the third set 6-2.
Reid Imel handed South Adams’ Alex Huber a 6-0, 6-1 setback at number one singles; and Tanner Bowen beat the Stars’ Reid Zurcher 6-3 6-2 at three singles.
