Lady Jets score first win
Adams Central had a rough go offensively early in its home opener Tuesday night against Eastside, but the visiting Blazers had a bit rougher start. It took Eastside longer to snap out of its funk as they struggled again in the second half and allowed the Lady Jets to slip away with their first varsity girls’ basketball win of the season 45-34.
Central led just 4-2 after one quarter but broke out big in the second quarter with 20 points and went into the half with a 24-16 lead. Eastside slipped into another offensive malaise in the third quarter and Central extended its lead to 38-20.
