The Leo girls won 11 of 15 events and ended a string of 19 straight victories for South Adams Tuesday night at Starfire Field. The Leo boys did one better than the girls, winning 12 events and ended South Adams’ bid for an unbeaten season.
Leo scored 90 points to win the girls’ meet; South Adams (7-1) finished second with 57.5 and Southern Wells was third with 8.5. The Lions scored 92 points to win the boys’ meet; South Adams (7-1) took second with 41 points and Southern Wells was third with 23.
South Adams’ girls got three wins from its sprint crew. Bailee Green took the 100-meter dash in 13 seconds and Jaci Liechty claimed the 200-meter dash in 28...
