Lions feast in seven-run fourth inning
Mack McClainAfter taking a 2-1 lead on a single by Mitchell Kumle, Leo loaded the bases and began scoring at will during a seven-run fourth inning Tuesday night in varsity baseball at Adams Central. That big inning gave the Lions all they needed and more as it took a 13-1 decision in six innings in a meeting of ACAC leaders.
The win puts Leo in prime position to win the ACAC championship at 6-0 (the Lions are 14-2 overall). Adams Central slips to 4-1 in conference action and 11-5 for the season. Leo takes on Bluffton Thursday and a win gives them the conference title outright.
