A game that took more than 24 hours to complete because of a rain delay went Bishop Luers’ way as the Knights knocked South Adams out of the Class 2A Bluffton softball sectional Wednesday evening 7-3.
The game started Tuesday and the two teams got an inning and a half in before the skies opened up and a deluge of rain game pouring down. The two reconvened Wednesday, picking things up where they left off.
Prior to the storm, the game was tied 1-1. Luers scored a first inning run after two batters reached on dropped third strikes. South Adams answered in the top half of the second after Jen Miller doubled. She moved to third on a ground out by Alexis Ford, and was able to...
