Luers proves too much with third quarter run
For the first two quarters of Friday’s semi-final game at the South Adams Class 2A Sectional, Adams Central was able to hold on to the heels of Bishop Luers. However, in the final portion of the third stanza, the Knights finally found a way to penetrate the AC defense and pull away from the pesky Jets.
In the end, Luers came off the floor with a 69-47 win over Adams Central, but for the first 20 minutes of the game, things were much closer than the final score might indicate.
