Monroe Lions 5K Saturday
The Monroe Lions Club 5K run is the second stop on the first annual Adams County Community Foundation Run/Walk Challenge. The race is scheduled to start at 8:15 a.m. Saturday morning in Monroe between Adams Central and the 4-H Fairgrounds.
There are currently 36 participants entered in the ACCF Run/Walk Challenge. Points are awarded based upon participation in the six events making up the Challenge, and for age group finishes in each event.
The Swiss Days Race in July is the third stop in the Challenge and the final chance to participate. Participants must complete four of the six events in order to be eligible for end of the season prizes. Entry forms will be available at the Monroe 5K Saturday. Shirts will also be available to all registrants taking part in the series.
