Austin McDonald scored seven straight points for Eastbrook in the first quarter and poured in 13 of his game high 22 over the first eight minutes as the visiting Panthers staked a large early lead against South Adams. Those early points proved vital late as Eastbrook held off the Starfires, 70-61 Friday night at the Stardome.
McDonald led the Panthers to a 7-3 lead early, and hit 3-of-4 3-point attempts in the latter stages of the first quarter, including the final basket of the period, as Eastbrook went ahead 23-11.
