Panthers sweep Central tracksters
Adams Central traveled to Eastbrook Tuesday to open its high school track season and came away from the Grant County school with a pair of losses. The Panther boys took all but three events, winning their side of the meet 84-47, and the Eastbrook girls won all but two events to drop Central 105-23. Kyle Fawcett and Alex Reinhard claimed individual wins for the Central boys, and both did so in strong fashion.
Fawcett won the 1600 meter run in 4:56.32 and Reinhard recorded a 51’11†winning throw in the shot put. Fawcett combined with Seth Dynes, Troy Tonner and Tim Sipe to claim the 3200 meter relay for the Jets in 9:10. Central’s girls also won the 3200 meter relay as Sarah Sipe, Olivia Dynes, Ashley Faurote and Felicia Lehman finished in 12:32. Lehman also won the 300 meter low hurdles for AC in 53.2.
