Panthers throttle struggling Starfires
Still struggling to find its offensive groove, South Adams surrendered a 51-15 loss at home Friday night to Eastbrook.
The Panthers (1-1) shot out to a 10-0 lead before Lyndsey Chandler scored South Adamsâ€™ first points. It was more than two minutes later before Chandler scored again and Eastbrook was in front 17-4.
The offensive shortcomings continued throughout the game for South Adams. Their best showing was in the second quarter when they connected on 5-of-11 field goal attempts. That kept the game relatively close at halftime, 28-12, but things went frigidly cold for the Starfires in the second half.
