Adams Central scored six firsts on the girls’ side and two on the boys’ but fell short of tasting victory in its first high school track meet of the season Tuesday evening in Monroe with Eastbrook.
The Panther boys posted a 92-31 victory over the Jets, while the Eastbrook girls scored a 79-44 win.
Central’s girls were led by a trio of freshmen that accounted for five of their six wins. Briona Case took the 100 meter dash in 14.0, the long jump at 15 feet, 5 inches, and the 200 meter dash in 29.7 seconds. McKenna Macklin won the 100 meter hurdles in 18.5 seconds and Erika Bluhm won the 300 meter hurdles in 54 seconds.
