PORTLAND – It was vintage Jay County.
Taking care of things on the defensive end and playing fairly efficient on offense, Jay County throttled South Adams 61-32 in varsity boys' basketball Saturday night. It was the Patriots' 13th straight win over the Starfires, an ominous thought for the Gold and Black as Jay County joins the Allen County Athletic Conference next year.
South Adams slips to 2-3 overall with the loss with their next outing this Friday at home against Heritage. The Patriots are 0-3.
