Peterson pitches AC to first regional title Sydnee Peterson

ALBION – Sydnee Peterson struck out nine Central Noble batters, including three in the first inning that may have saved the game for the Jets, as the Adams Central girls' softball team won its first-ever regional champion on Tuesday evening with a 5-0 win over the host Cougars in Albion.
In the bottom of the first inning, the Jets got their backs against the wall early as an error and two Cougar hits loaded the bases with no outs. However, Peterson struck out the next three batters in succession to shut off the Central Noble threat and open the door for the Jets to take command of the game.
