Prolific Patriots punish Starfires
Looking for positives to come from Jay County’s outright slaughter of South Adams Saturday night at the Stardome, one need look no further than the wad of cash stuffed into the coffers of the athletic office nestled beneath the Stardome by the large group of Patriot backers on hand to witness their team’s 83-33 romp.
Looking anywhere else would be an exercise in futility.
Jay County (4-0) shot out to a quick 8-1 lead, riding the dominant play of seniors Kegan Comer, Brock McFarland and Scott Schwieterman.
McFarland and Schweiterman finished the first quarter with 18 points between them. South Adams would not crest the 18-point plateau until the third period.
