Rebels slow Central’s late season momentum
Randolph Southern took a nine-point lead into the fourth quarter and held off a late charge by Adams Central to notch its fifth straight varsity girls’ basketball victory Tuesday night in Lynn. The win pushed the Rebels’ season record to 15-3 – their 12th straight season with double digit victories. Adams Central slips to 7-13, snapping a two-game winning streak.
Randolph Southern led 18-14 after one quarter, and used a 14-9 third quarter run to take a 46-37 lead. Adams Central outscored the Rebels 9-6 over the final eight minutes, but could not completely close the gap.
