For three quarters, it appeared that Adams Central was going to knock out the South Adams Starfires for the second time this season, but momentum turned with a fury in the fourth quarter as the Starfires, who hosted the Jets in second round action of Class A Sectional 43 football, roared back to take apart the Jets, 14-13.
The Stars (4-7) began to break down the AC defense with 4:06 left in the game when quarterback Derek Wanner found Collin Affolder from the Jets’ 33-yard line to draw within one point, 13-12 AC.
