South Adams wins Sportsmanship Award

South Adams High School has been selected as the winner of the Red Gold IHSAA Sportsmanship Award for the 2011 spring sports season. This award recognizes the outstanding efforts of an individual school to promote sportsmanship in their high school athletics program. Red Gold, in partnership with the IHSAA, participated in the award selection process that considered submissions from more than 150 IHSAA member schools from throughout Indiana.
South Adams will be presented the award between the Class 2A and 3A baseball state championship games at Victory Field in Indianapolis on June 18. The award includes a $2,000 award to South Adams.
South Adams was chosen from a field of 11 finalist schools. Other finalists were: Brownstown Central, Northwestern, North Daviess, Southport, South Decatur, Benton Central, Heritage Christian, Kokomo, Batesville, and Franklin County.
