With three runners finishing in the top 13 and two more placing in the top 30, South Adams finished third in the boys’ team standings at the IHSAA Marion cross country regional Saturday at Indiana Wesleyan University, clinching its second consecutive trip to the New Haven Semi-State.
No. 14 Homestead won the team championship with 51 points. Whitko was third with 77 and South Adams third with 78. Eastbrook scored 131 points and Columbia City 135 to round out the regional top five. The top five teams and top 15 individuals qualify for semi-state. At semi-state, the top six teams and top 15 individuals qualify for the state meet.
