Starfire boys remain perfect
South Adams swept the scoring in five events and beat Woodlan 72-51 in varsity boys track Tuesday night at Woodburn. The win raises South Adams’ season record to 4-0 through three meets this season.
South Adams did very well in distance events, taking the top three positions in the 1600 and 3200, and took two of three scoring places in the 800.
Andrew Steffen won the 1600 in a career best 4:53 with teammates Joel Hawbaker and Daniel Velasco finishing 2-3 respectively. Steffen won the 800 in 2:12 and Simon Sprunger finished third for the Starfires.
