Starfire boys take Bi-County title
South Adams put five runners across the finish line under 18 minutes and ran away with the boysâ€™ title at the Bi-County cross country championship Saturday in ideal weather at Bluffton High School. The Starfires, just days after winning the Bellmont Invitational, scored 29 points and beat second place Norwell by 16 points, claiming the Bi-County title for the first time ever.
South Adams also had the top male and female performers in the meet as Hannah Moore took control of the girlsâ€™ 5-kilometer race from the outset and won her third straight title in 20:27, and Eric Isch made a strong move over the final 400 meters and won the boysâ€™ 5K in 16:36.
