Starfire spikers now 2-0 in ACAC

South Adams scored its second straight Allen County Athletic Conference volleyball victory, beating Bluffton in three games Thursday night, 25-23, 25-19, 25-19. The win raises the Starfires’ record to 5-8 and 2-0 in the ACAC. Bluffton is still searching for its first win of the season.
Chelsea Bollenbacher had 20 kills, four blocks and seven digs for South Adams. Alyssa Bluhm added seven kills, 18 assists and 10 digs.
Cady Farlow recorded 12 digs, three blocks and three kills, while Lily Taing finished with 12 assists and six digs.
South Adams’ junior varsity won 25-21, 19-25, 15-4. Jody Potts had four kills, eight assists and two aces for the Starfires. Mackenzie Jennings had two aces and eight digs, and Holly Taylor finished with nine digs.
South Adams’ C-Team was also victorious, 18-25, 25-19, 15-9. Keysha LeMaster had four aces and five kills for the Starfires. Shelby Mellencamp added seven digs and six kills, and Reba Morehouse added 14 assists.
