Starfire tracksters end with wins
South Adams wound up its conference dual meet season with wins in a three-team meeting at Bluffton Tuesday night. The Starfire girls posted 74 points, beating second place Heritage by 28 points. Bluffton finished third in the girls’ meet with 36 points. South Adams’ boys finished with 73 points; Bluffton had 44 and Heritage 36.
Aleesha Goodwin was a double winner individually for South Adams, taking the 1600 in 6:13, the 3200 in 13:52, and she also ran with Chelsea Moore, Katelin Hawbaker and Lily Shane to win the 4 x 800 relay in 11:33.
Hannah and Leah Mitchel dominated the throwing events for the Starfires. Hannah won the shot put at 36’10” and Leah finished second. ...
