With six runners finishing in the top 10 individually, Homestead held off a strong run by the South Adams boys’ cross country team Tuesday night at the IHSAA Bellmont Sectional. The Spartans, ranked No. 14 in the state by IndianaRunner.com, scored 26 points for their team title; South Adams was second with 44 points.
Both teams will move on to the Marion Regional at Indiana Wesleyan University Saturday morning at 10:30. The top five teams and top 15 individuals regardless of team finish qualify for regional.
