BLUFFTON – It didn’t come easy but South Adams pulled out a first round win against Bluffton in Class 2A girls’ sectional competition against Bluffton Tuesday night.
The Stars and Tigers came at each other basket for basket until South Adams pulled away for a 41-37 win. The win puts South Adams into the semi-finals Friday night against Churubusco. That game is scheduled to start around 7:30 p.m.
In the first game, Adams Central fought tenaciously against a tough Bishop Luers team for three quarters before the Knights broke away for a 69-41 win. Luers will face Eastside in the first semi-final Friday at 6 p.m.
