Starfires clinch third straight round robin title
Simon SprungerSouth Adams put six runners through the finish chute before anyone from Garrett or Adams Central and swept a double-dual meet Tuesday night at Garrett. The strong showing gave the Starfire boys their third straight Allen County Athletic Conference round robin championship.
The Starfires beat Adams Central 15-50, and an incomplete Garrett squad. Adams Central scored a win against the four-member Garrett squad as well.
In the girls’ meet, South Adams scored a sweep, beating Adams Central 24-35 and Garrett 26-33. Central scored a 24-34 win over the host Railroaders.
