Starfires cross state line to sweep Spencerville

For the first time ever, the South Adams cross country squad invaded the Spencerville, Ohio Bearcat Invitational on Saturday. In the end, the Stars captured both ends of competition, with first place finishes in both in the boys and girls races.
In girls’ competition, the Starfires captured first place with a total of 50 points, followed by Lima Shawnee (58), Bellefontaine (106), Elmwood (127) and Bellmont (151).
For the boys, the Stars raced past Shawnee, winning with a total of 56 points over Shawnee's 65. Other top five finishers included West Liberty-Salem (92), Elmwood (108) and New Haven (119).
