Starfires dodge Falcons to get first win

South Adams rallied back from an early deficit, and squelched a late comeback attempt by Winchester to post a 6-5 victory in varsity softball Thursday night in Berne.
“This was a good win for us,” said South Adams coach Jessie O’Dell. “Winchester has really improved.
“We still need to clean up a lot of defense, but our kids battled and stayed in the game mentally, and were able to pull it out.”
