Starfires finish home slate with win
South Adams held Churubusco without a point in the first quarter, without a field goal for over nine minutes, and to just one field goal over the first 21:27 of its final home contest of the season last night and beat the visiting Eagles 33-19.
The win was the seventh of the season for the Starfires (7-10), moving them within one win of matching the 2008-09 team with eight wins. With two regular season games remaining and the state tournament, South Adams has a chance to finish with double digit wins for the first time since 2000-01.
