Starfires finish unbeaten campaign

South Adams completed its dual meet season with a perfect 27-0 record after a win at Southern Wells Friday night and by sweeping its five matches Saturday at the Tri High Invitational.
South Adams, still ranked as the No. 1 (Class A) team in the state by the coaches association class polls, scored a 47-29 victory over Southern Wells Friday to cap a 7-0 season in the Allen County Athletic Conference. The Starfires will vie for their first ever outright conference championship Saturday when they take part in the ACAC tournament at Woodlan High School. The opening round begins at 9 a.m.
