Starfires lose two straight
The sixth inning has become the bane of the South Adams varsity baseball team as it allowed 16 runs in the critical frame over the last two days and dropped a pair of games as a result. The Starfires led Norwell by a run going into the sixth inning Wednesday and came away 14-5 losers. South Adams trailed just 2-0 in the sixth Thursday night with Bishop Luers, but gave up six runs in an 8-0 loss.
The losses drop South Adams to 3-3 on the season. They head for Cambridge City this weekend to take part in a three-team round robin tournament.
