Starfires open with home victory over Daleville Coach Bradley and Alyssa Bluhm

South Adams made up for a rough offensive start with its defense, holding Daleville to three points or fewer in all four quarters and posted a 23-11 victory in the debut of head coach Brandon Bradley.
The Starfires (1-0) trailed until 4:45 remained in the first quarter, taking a 4-3 lead on a score by Lyndsey Chandler. Daleville (0-1) was able to tie the score at 4-4 early in the second quarter, but South Adams went back in front on another Chandler basket and never trailed again.
South Adams was hampered by its inability to handle the ball early, turning the ball over 17 times in the first half, and connected on just 7-of-30 free throw attempts in the contest.
