Starfires overwhelm undermanned Winchester
South Adams won all but one event, took the top three scoring positions in eight of 12 individual events, and swept the relays to post a convincing 114.5-8.5 win over visiting Winchester in boys track on a cool and damp Thursday evening at Starfire Field.
The South Adams won 11 events total, sweeping the top three scoring spots in three of them, and posted their first win of the young season 85-38 over Winchester.
Chaise Moore, Eric Isch and Joel Schmidt scored two wins apiece for the South Adams boys (2-0). Moore won the shot put with a throw of 37 feet, 9 inches and took the 200 meter dash in 24.4 seconds. Isch won the 1600 meter run in 5:07 and the 3200 meter run in 10:46. ...
