Starfires run to ACAC round robin title
Hannah MooreSouth Adams capitalized on ideal running conditions and took the first five spots in the boys’ 5-kilometer race Tuesday night to claim its first ACAC round robin championship since 2006 with wins over Garrett and Adams Central.
The Starfires (6-0 ACAC) beat Garrett 15-46 and Adams Central 15-46. The Railroaders nipped Adams Central’s boys 25-31.
Eric Isch took first overall for South Adams in 16:32. Evan Liechty finished second for the Starfires in 16:46, Brody Shane third in 17:26, Joel Hawbaker fourth in 17:27 and Simon Sprunger fifth in 17:28.
