Starfires slam Winchester 17-4
South Adams scored its first varsity softball victory of the season Thursday night, beating Winchester 17-4 in Winchester.
The Starfires scored in every inning, but were forced to play all seven innings after the home squad pushed two runs home in the bottom of the sixth inning.
South Adams did all of its damage off of seven hits, taking advantage of eight Winchester errors and four walks. Brianna Nevil had a double, triple and four RBI for the Starfires. Alaina Johnston added two singles and one RBI. Lily Taing got in on the action with two RBI.
