Starfires split double dip with Comets
South Adams capitalized on eight hits and seven walks to take a 13-3 win from Eastern (Greentown) Saturday in the first of two varsity baseball games at Harry F. Anderson Field, but the offense dried up by game two and the Starfires lost to the Comets 10-5.
The Starfires (6-5) got a pair of walks to lead off the first inning of game one and Corey Seffernick drove in the first run with a ground ball to second. A pitch then hit Blake Fox and Collin Affolder followed with a single to center that allowed Nick Busse to score.
