Starfires split with NorwellSouth Adams pitcher Kysha Cox fires a pitch.

South Adams took a one-run lead with a three-run third and never let it go as it beat Norwell 10-5 in the second game of a varsity softball doubleheader Saturday afternoon in Berne. Norwell scored three times in the top of the seventh and swiped game one by a 7-5 score.
The Starfires (2-3) collected 12 hits in game two of the double dip, getting two each from Katrina Hawkins, Tori Smith, Bri Nevil, Karen Bollenbacher and Lyndsey Chandler.
Nevil and Bollenbacher drove in two runs each. Smith and Kysha Cox drove in one run each.
Lily Taing was the winning pitcher, going four innings in relief of Cox. She struck out one and walked two, allowing one run on four hits.
