The Bluffton Tigers ripped the homecoming heart out of the South Adams faithful Friday night, completing a 35-yard pass in the end zone as time expired to complete a stunning 18-17 victory over the Starfires in Berne.
Cameron Gerber, who diced South Adams up for more 326 total yards of offense, lofted a Hail Mary pass into the back of the end zone and Bluffton receiver Nick Landrum came down with the ball. The Tigers (now 2-1 and 1-0 in the ACAC) went into a frenzied celebration as the Starfires were left searching for answers as well as a victory that has eluded them through the first three weeks of the season.
