Starfires succumb to Blazers
South Adams surrendered an early lead and lost 4-2 to Eastside in varsity boys’ soccer Thursday night in Berne.
Dustin Dellinger scored on an assist from L.J. Moser to grab an early 1-0 lead for the Starfires (0-3-1), but the Blazers got an equalizer from Kyle Franz before the end of the first half.
Eastside went in front 3-1 early in the second half on goals from Dylan Ervin and Jared Yoder. South Adams had a chance to slice that lead to one on a penalty kick, but Zach Yoder stopped the shot of John O’Donnell.
Lathan Luginbill scored later for the Starfires, but Jared Yoder added his second goal of the game to give Eastside the 4-2 victory.
