Starfish girls nip Cadets 92-91
South Adams used its top swimmers and took advantage of a lack of divers by Concordia to snag a one-point victory in varsity girlsâ€™ swimming Tuesday night in Berne, beating the visiting Cadets 92-91 to remain perfect on the season.
The Starfish (5-0) won eight events, but were fighting against Concordiaâ€™s depth all night long. When the Cadets failed to put any divers on the board, and South Adams swept the three scoring positions, the edge was gained.
Olivia Turner took first in diving for the Starfish with 132.60 points. Followed by Lauren Turner and Tessa Herrera in second and third respectively.
