Starfish score wins against Blackford
Mitchell KavermanThe trio of Kara DeLong, Cady Farlow and Michaela Rupp powered South Adams to an easy 120-47 girls’ swimming victory Thursday night in Berne. The Starfish girls improve to 9-5-1 with the victory with one week remaining in the regular season.
Rupp won the 200-yard individual medley in 2:44.91 and the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:23.48. Farlow claimed the 100-yard freestyle in 56.43 seconds and the 100-yard backstroke in 1:07.21. DeLong won the 50-yard freestyle in 26.77 seconds and the 500-yard freestyle in 6:01.73.
The trio also joined Ellie Kaverman in winning the 200-yard medley relay in 2:10.34 and the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:56.56.
