Stars move ten into finals, Jets advance eight
South Adams and Adams Central will have about equal representation heading into the final round of competition in the IHSAA Jay County boys’ swimming sectional Saturday, after qualifying rounds on Thursday night.
The Starfish were trimmed down to ten individuals and relays making it into the championship heats. Central qualified eight for the finals. The top eight swimmers in the preliminary round qualify for championship heats, while those taking 9-16 will swim in the consolations.
South Adams senior Cory Sank is the closest of them all to nabbing a state-qualifying berth (those go to event winners, or anyone meeting a state standard time in the final round of competition)....
