Adams Central’s potpourri offense was unable to keep pace with the steady output of New Haven’s Kiersten Perkins Tuesday night and the Lady Jets lost 46-33 at home as a result.
The Jets (2-6) would see one player warm up for a brief period, then another would pick up the slack after that, but it wasn’t consistent enough to keep pace with Perkins and her low post sidekick Kayla Fendel.
Perkins scored seven first quarter points to help New Haven (4-5) jump out to a 15-9 lead early, and she buried a 3-pointer during a 12-6 second quarter run for the Bulldogs as they went ahead 27-15 by halftime.
